GELBLAU - a platform for self-development

Gel[:b]lau - is an entertaining and informative magazine created in 2016 in the German city of Stuttgart. The initial goal of the magazine was to create a high-quality Ukrainian-language periodical and to provide an opportunity for young and talented authors, designers and other artists to express themselves and improve their skills. Over the years, the magazine has published more than 300 articles from about 90 authors! Official page on social media Facebook has more than 2000 readers.

Features of the magazine

On the pages of the magazine you will find articles about interesting representatives of our diaspora not only in Germany but also around the world, news from the world of art, culture and sports, reviews of contemporary Ukrainian literature and much more. So get some sleep get your copy of this miracle of the Ukrainian press.

What makes this magazine so special? Not only the professional approach to creating articles, but also its unique design. Each article gets its own unique image that breathes life into it and emphasises the content.

How is the magazine created?

Gel[:b]lau is an independent project run by a young creative team of volunteers who create and develop the magazine in their spare time. We always welcome new ideas, suggestions and authors, as well as financial support, because without it, it is simply impossible to publish such a wonderful magazine.

Literatur, Krieg und Leben / Literature, War and Life

We are pleased to announce the launch of the project Literature, War and Life, which embodies the European idea of multilingualism, unity in diversity, and the flow of literary works between cultures and languages.

Ukrainisches Atelier für Kultur und Sport e.V. together with the German publishing house Schenk Verlag aims to make Ukrainian contemporary literature more accessible both to German-speaking readers and to the Ukrainian reading public abroad. As part of this programme, Schenk Verlag, together with two Ukrainianand publishers «Izdatelstvo 21» and «Anetta Antonenko Publishing House» has selected eleven works to be translated from Ukrainian into German, one novel to be translated from German into Ukrainian, and eight more books to be published in the original Ukrainian language. All the books will be available in German-speaking regions of Europe and in particular for the Ukrainian diaspora in Germany.

The project is co-funded by the European Union's Creative Europe programme.
